The Man So Roughly Mixed
One of my bands did some recording a couple weeks ago, and I’ve got some rough mixes of the tracks now. Check ‘em out!
That they all start with ’P’ is, I assure you, coincidence.
These songs are all written by cohort Brian Rozendal; I’m the keys. Note again—rough mixes. These are temporary scratch vocals, and some of them are outright missing in places (see Potassium, for example).
Brian will be doing isolated vocal takes on Thursday, and then Chandler, our engineer, will do finished mixes. Heck yeah!

Hi cortex (aka “Josh”),
I was mainly dropping by to thank you for the heads up on the 2007 RPM fun fest but I was pleased to take some time to listen to your band’s latest almost offerings. Great stuff, man. I just had a lot of fun playing some flatpick lead over “Paper Fences”, a couple of times.
Excerllent tunes that Brian’s got going on. Nice changes with a slightly epic aspect. :-) I look forward to hearing what comes next.
Anyway, I will maybe see you over there at RPM in February. I sat on the fence for a couple of weeks but I signed up today. I have been sitting on a bunch of tunes for far too long and this is a good way to get over that, even if it is not within the spirit of the competition (I won’t be writing anything new: I have my hands full will pre-exisiting material).
All the best,
persona non grata (aka “Patrick”)
