And when you get busy, you get lazy, and when you get lazy you don’t update your site. And then it’s been a week and you feel something resembling regret.

The Aural Times continues to happen, which is one of the things that has had me busy—suddenly I am spending 2-3 hours a day, 3 days a week, working on this one thing. This long-term project. I don’t really do long term projects, so much, so this is something unusual.

A different sort of person might say that the above is a form of jinxing, but I’m starting to to believe that jinxing is, insofar as it has any power whatsoever, a matter of giving into one’s desire to have a jinx occur. In other words, doing things is hard, and jinxing things is easy, and not doing hard things is easy, which makes jinxes awfully convenient.

So, anyway, the site is doing well. I’ve put a permanent link in the sidebar, under the new sub-heading “Awesome”. I coded up an rss-generator this morning, but had to leave for work before I could test it. The twisted fellow behind I EAT TAPES is working on a podcast based on the weekly sonic output. Various behind-the-scenes features are being mulled over. Etc. It is hard, but it goes well.
